Nielsen and Ye Ferrari contracts extended on multi-year deals
Both remain as Ferrari factory drivers in 2027
Ferrari has renewed the contracts of World Endurance Championship Hypercar drivers Nicklas Nielsen and Yifei Ye.
Nielsen has been racing the #50 499P factory Ferrari since the team returned to the top class of the WEC in 2023, while Ye has been racing for the privateer #83 AF Corse Ferrari in the Hypercar class since 2024.
And Ferrari has now confirmed that both drivers have had their contracts extended on a multi-year deal.
The announcement means that Nielsen will likely continue in the #50 car, as he looks to add to his three overall WEC victories with the Italian manufacturer. And when speaking about the announcement, the Danish driver said that continuing with the team felt like a “natural step”.
“I am delighted with this renewal, which is very special to me and, in some respects, feels like a natural step, because I began my racing career with Ferrari,” said Nielsen.

“It is an honour to continue on this path representing the Prancing Horse. I would like to thank Ferrari and Antonello Coletta for the trust they have shown in me.
“My goals for the future? They remain unchanged: to keep improving as a driver and to achieve many more race wins together with my teammates.”
Ye’s contract renewal also means that it is likely that the #83 car will be on the grid for another season, especially since Ferrari confirmed that Phil Hanson will be remaining a factory Ferrari driver on the eve of the Lone Star Le Mans.
“I am proud to extend my partnership with Ferrari,” said Ye. “I remember signing my first contract with the Prancing Horse and dreaming of winning the 24 Hours of Le Mans with the 499P.
“That dream very quickly became a reality with the 2025 victory, proof that, with dedication and professionalism, great goals can be reached together.
“Since joining the Ferrari family, I have felt welcome and have sensed the trust that unites the team, and I thank everyone for that.
“I am hugely motivated to keep giving my best, together with my teammates, to achieve further success.”
Right now, there’s no confirmation about a contract renewal for Robert Kubica, but should he also remain with Ferrari for 2027, it means that the AF Corse outfit will continue for another year with an unchanged line-up.
